THE IDEATION CENTRE

This Centre works as a think tank for evolution and development of concepts on various issues and problems in fields of ecological management, rural sustainability and all forms of tangible and intangible heritage conservation and management. The Centre also delves into content creation for ubiquitous learning on relevant subjects and their multimodal dissemination. We have put in place an audio-visual facility for the purpose. The entire INSERCH fraternity, which comprises of academicians, researchers and students cutting across disciplines is involved in the shaping the activities of this Centre.

Webinar on COVID 19 Pandemic: A Crisis of Human Health or Planet Health

This Webinar was spread over 5 days, 10 sessions and 21 distinguished resource persons.

The Inaugural Session was graced by Dr. Gitanjali Chaturvedi, former Senior Specialist, World Bank, Dr. Anupam Joshi, Senior Environment Specialist, World Bank and Dr. Ervin Leyva, Assistant Professor, College of Nursing, University of Philippines and the Valedictory Session by Dr. Rajendra Singh, Ramon Magsaysay Awardee and Waterman of India. Other eminent speakers included Mr. Hridayesh Joshi, Mr. Nitin Sethi, Dr. Saya Okram, Ms. Phua Mein Yen, Dr. Faiyaz Khudsar, Dr. Anupama Dubey Mohanty, Ms. Shilpa Gupta, Dr. Devanjan Khuntia, Mr. Kaustabh Bhagat, Dr. Koustubh Sharma, Dr. Raghu Chundawat, Mr. Anuj Dayal, Prof. Sunita Reddy, Prof. Asha Juwarkar, Prof. Radhey Shyam Sharma, Prof. Murari Prasad and Mr. Sumit Singha.

INITIATIVES UNDER MACINSERCH

MAHARAJA AGRASEN COLLEGE CHAPTER

​

Already the initial lead in INSERCH has been taken by MAC INSERCH in 2011, a voluntary initiative of teachers, administrative staff and students of Maharaja Agrasen College, University of Delhi. This Chapter has been instrumental in organisation of 6 national level conferences on Biodiversity and Climate Change, Plantation Drives, Tree Audit, Workshops on ornamental gardening and organic farming, visits to heritage sites etc. MAC INSERCH successfully organised its first International Webinar on Covid 19 Pandemic: A Crisis of Human Health or Planet Health from June 5-10, 2020 to mark World Environment Day. MAC INSERCH shall continue to be on the forefront of activities pertaining to the three centres. Attempts shall vigorously be made to enter into partnership with various other organisations and facilitate the starting of separate chapters.
